Description
PROBIO project dataset: GC-MS data of 50 North Sea species with potential bioactive compounds. more
In the framework of the PROBIO project, which provides a knowledge base on bioactive compounds from marine organisms present in the Belgian Part of the North Sea, fifty North Sea species containing possibly bioactive compounds with commercial potential were identified and collected for screening. A high-throughput screening of extracted compounds was performed and an open-source comprehensive database was created, combining structural, (analytical) mass spectral, biological activity information of the compounds. This dataset contains the data of the GC-MS screening, which was performed by the Metabolomics Core Ghent (MCG) of the Flanders Institute for Biotechnology (VIB).
