Description

Dataset includes phytoplankton data collected during cruise 38 (December 1986 - April 1987) on board of R/V Dmitriy Mendeleev. more

Phytoplankton samples were processed by L. Senichkina (IBSS). Detailed methodology described in: Ecosystems of the Eastern Boundary Currents and Central Regions of the Pacific Ocean, M.E. Vinogradov and E.I. Musaeva, eds., Nauka, Moscow, pp. 213-229. At IBSS, the data were digitized from paper processing books, quality-controlled and transformed to comply with the Darwin Core/OBIS Schema. Funds for data operations were kindly provided by the Census of Marine Life International Cosmos Prize Fund, through a grant to Rutgers University.
