BiodiversityKnowledge Internal Evaluation
The overall objective of the evaluation is to analyse the issues involved in establishing the prototype network of knowledge, how difficulties were overcome or why they remain. It is doing so by evaluating the process and outputs from the prototype network of knowledge from the perspectives of all actors involved i.e. the clients, knowledge providers and others involved in the pathway of knowledge.
Approach: Importantly the results from the evaluation are not only being used to improve the prototype network of knowledge during the lifetime of the project but also to inform the final recommendations of the project for an established network of knowledge. The evaluation team are evaluating the process and outputs of the project from the points of view of the clients, knowledge providers and (other) project participants through fully confidential interviews, focus groups and questionnaires.
The evaluation has been divided into 3 distinct phases:
- Phase 1: Assessing the process of developing the prototype network of knowledge
- Phase 2: Testing the application of the prototype network of knowledge to synthesis knowledge using three case studies
- Phase 3: Assessing the outputs and outcomes from the prototype network of knowledge
