Student & general grants for accommodation and registration

Seven student grants and four general grants will be available thanks to the very generous sponsorship of the Nederlands-Vlaamse Kring voor Diatomisten (Dutch-Flemish Circle of Diatomists, NVKD) and the Association des Diatomistes de Langue Française (Association of French-speaking diatomists, ADLAF).

The awards will fund the accommodation and registration costs of selected applicants, but NOT the travel. Note that accommodation associated with these grants will be provided in 2-8 person dorms in the Andromeda Ecohostel, a converted barge lying on a canal in Ghent. This barge will be exclusively reserved for IDS participants.

Student grants are reserved for Master and PhD students who have no or only limited access to funding to attend the conference. General grants are reserved for senior researchers in the same predicament.

Applications for the student and general grants should be made by filling in the application form.
Grant applications should be sent as an attachment to IDS2012@ugent.be no later than May 1st 2012.
