Abstract:
In de vakgroep Materialen, Textiel en Chemische Proceskunde (MaTCh) kunnen twee onderzoeksprogramma’s onderscheiden worden: ‘Metaalwetenschappen en Technologie’ en de ‘Mechanica van Materialen en Structuren’.

De mariene onderzoeksactiviteiten situeren zich in de groep rond Mechanica van Materialen en Structuren. In de eerste plaats wordt gefocust op composieten voor golfenergieconvertoren waarbij de golfimpact op het materiaal bestudeerd wordt. Daarnaast wordt eveneens onderzoek verricht naar het gedrag van composieten in zeilmasten. Finaal worden nieuwe concepten bestudeerd voor golfenergieconvertoren.
