| Tasks are: responsible for coastal defence; management of beaches and dunes; management and maintenance of the basic facilities for pleasure cruising in the four Flemish coastal marinas in Nieuwpoort, Oostende, Blankenberge and Zeebrugge and the coastal fishing ports of Nieuwpoort, Oostende and Zeebrugge; apply Integrated Coastal Area Management, conduct hydrographic and hydrometeorological activities in support of shipping traffic safety; management of the Oceanographic and Meteorological Office. |
