Dr. Sørensen (Head of Innovation, Marine Infrastructure and Energy) has, with a background in physical oceanography and mathematical modelling, been project manager of DHI contributions under the European Space Agency (ESA) and under EU. He is an expert in data assimilation techniques and responsible for the design and implementation of data assimilation in MIKE3 of hydrodynamic, wave and bio-geochemical observations derived from in situ as well as earth observation techniques.
