Abstract
KT-14 is a serine protease cloned from the brook trout ovary that shares structural homology to tissue kallikrein. A wide variety of agonists and antagonists regulated KT-14 expression in post-vitellogenic follicles in vitro. Many of these compounds also induce or inhibit ovarian function. Therefore, a model of KT-14 regulation and ovarian function is proposed illustrating how these various pathways may interact to control brook trout ovarian function around the time of ovulation
