Abstract
This study describes the germ cells in the testis of matrinxa raised in captivity at the ultrastructural level. This study was developed at the CEPAR, from Fishery Institute, in Pariquera-Acu City in Sao Paulo, Brazil (24 degree 43' S and 47 degree 53'W). The testes have been classifield as testis tubular unrestricted spermatogonial type, where 4 spermatogenic cells phases can be distinguished: spermatogonia, spermatocytes, spermatids and spermatozoa.
