Abstract
Hydrodynamic aspects of STS operations are studied by several approaches. Detailed computations and experiments provide insight into the time varying flow fields which again provide basis for improved mathematical models used in ship simulators. Nautical aspects and guidance system design fill in the gap to the end user.
