WHY CHOOSE US? 

Our new £16 million investment in marine science infrastructure strengthens our offer to the EMBRC-ERIC and ASSEMBLE Plus communities. The SOI laboratory hosts expertise in marine mammals, coastal and deep-sea ecology and dynamics, fisheries, climate change, bioacoustics, mathematical modelling, and marine microbiology.

Our beach location on the East coast of Scotland in the historic town of St Andrews offers access to a wide variety of pristine natural ecosystems including saltmarshes, mudflats, rocky shores, and islands. We have inshore vessels and strong logistic support.
