Proportion of goods carried cross-channel by rail and by truck

  • Definition : Proportion of goods carried cross-channel by rail to the goods transported by truck through the Eurotunnel, in any given year.
  • Calculation : The total goods carried cross-channel by rail (in 1000 tonnes) divided by the goods transported by truck ((1000 tonnes): when value>1, more goods are transported by rail than by truck
