The European eco-labeling scheme for tourist accommodation works towards adopting an efficient environmental management and use of natural resources in the tourism sector.The ratio of overnight stays to the number of residents is an indication of the social impact of tourism in a local community or seaside town.Ideally, both measurements need seasonal data to study spreading of the tourist season over the year.
