The role of INDECO is to review existing research, identify gaps in the current research (data collection and statistical work), and examine necessary policy (and institutional changes). INDECO is to develop: 1. Indicators for the impact of fishing on the ecosystem state, functioning and dynamics, 2. Indicators for socio-economic factors for the effectiveness of different management measures, 3.
