Abstract
The aim of the VHR3D project is to optimize the VHR 3D marine seismic imaging method, and to make this method fully operational, taking into account the processing facilities and the geological, geotechnical and environmental goals. The main objective is twofold : 1) the development of a flexible VHR 3D seismic method which can be tailored to the site characteristics allowing optimal coverage of targets of different size; and 2) the extraction of geotechnical information from the seismic data leading to the creation of a detailed 3D physical model of the subsurface based on the acquired information.
