Abstract |
Mnemiopsis leidyi, endemic to the Atlantic coast of North America, was found for the first time in the fauna of the Black Sea in summer 1987. In summer 1988 it was found en masse off the N and W coasts and in the Sea of Azov, and in late September its biomass in open waters of the eastern Black Sea reached 1.5-2 kg/m2. |
