Homonymy According to Støp-Bowitz (1948:13) "La plupart des auteurs récents supposent que le nom générique Pherusa OKEN, 1815, soit préoccupé par LEACH (1814) en Crustacés. Cependant, d'aprés SHERBORN: Index Animalium, OKEN a publié ce nom déjà en 1807. Par conséquent le nom correct de ce genre est Pherusa OKEN, 1807, auquel doit céder tant Stylaroides DELLE CHIAJE, 1830 (SHERBORN: 1841) que Trophonia, dont l'origine semble être un peu incertaine (voir SHERBORN)."
