Taxonomic remark The family name has been wrongly attibuted to Stebbing, 1899 (see in Stebbing 1906) which has since been followed by many subsequent authors including Barnard & Karaman, 1991. Boeck, 1871 established the subfamily name Amphithoinae for the genus Amphithoe. [details]
