Incorrectly states D. krusensterni is the type species of Parasabella Bush, 1905, but type species of genera remain fixed, and Parasabella media (original designation by Bush) is the type of Parasabella. Incorrectly states Parasabella flecata Hoagland, 1919, Parasabella jamaicensis Augener, 1924, and Parasabella pallida Moore, 1923 are comb. nov., but all are basionyms in Parasabella. Incorrectly states D. brachychona [basionym spelling] is a variant spelling
Parasabella Bush, 1905 is reintroduced as a replacement name for Demonax Kinberg, 1867 (Annelida: Polychaeta: Sabellidae) which is a junior homonym of Demonax Thomson, 1860 (Insecta: Coleoptera: Cerambycidae).
