AB  - The present study deals with the fauna found beside Corallium rubrum (L.) in the captures carried out by means of the "Italian bar" method. This material was obtained in two zones of Alboran Sea: "Seco de los Olivos" and the bottoms in the neighborhood of Alboran island. Up the present  species belonging to 7 Invertebrate Phyla have been studied, 264 of those having been determined down to specific level: 70 Porifera, 38 Cnidaria, 65 Annelida Polychaeta, 15 Crustacea Decapoda, 57 Mollusca, 5 Brachiopoda and 22 Echinodermata. Some of them are first record for the Mediterranean sea. The species recollected are considered to constitute a very small representation of the Alboran sea coralliferous bottom communities.
