Taxonomy Some authors use Leda Schumacher, 1817 as the valid name for the genus (e.g. Madsen, 1949; Ockelmann, 1958). Vokes (1967) noticed that this is a junior synonym of Nucula, a genus from another family. The correct and valid name is without doubt Nuculana Link, 1807. [details]
