EULALIA." [details]
Homonymy Not a junior homonym. In the IRMNG database, Eulalia Savigny 1822 is homonym in zoology to Eulalia Meigen, 1800 (Insecta, Diptera), but it is there recorded that the latter is unavailable as in a work suppressed by ICZN Opinion 678. In botany there is also a Eulalia Kunth, 1829 in Poaceae ((Plantae-Magnoliophyta-Liliopsida-Poales-Poaceae) [details]
Type species Savigny (1822) included Nereis viridis and Nereis maculata (now in Phyllodoce). Type species as Nereis viridis Linnaeus 1767 a subsequent designation by Bergström (1914:123) fide Pleijel (1991:241). Note that Bergström appears to misspell 'viridis' as 'virides' and 'virens' in part of his synonymy, but this may have been intentional. [details]Unreviewed
Habitat Known from seamounts and knolls [details]
