Abstract:
De Dienst Continentaal Plat draagt bij tot het duurzaam beheer van de natuurlijke rijkdommen van België door de omkadering van de exploitatie van zand en grind in de territoriale zee en op het continentaal plat van België.; ; Deze omkadering omvat volgende taken:; controle op de ontginningsactiviteiten,; controle op de gevolgen van deze activiteiten op het mariene milieu,; kartering van de bathymetrie, de morfologie en de bodemsamenstelling en; actualisering van de reglementering betreffende zand- en grindwinning op zee.
