Close the theme?
Dear all,
"Sneaking in" into the discussion in between meetings with students, classes & exams, i.e., the usual clutter of the last week of the semester, I would like to thank Erik for listing and stressing the scientific issues that are there, unresolved, but very important for (not only) Baltic scientists, including us all from the NAS countries. This is, to my mind, a major outcome of this conference. Although Erik seems intent on closing the theme to which he has been assigned as a moderator/agent provocateur, I would like him to moderate and provoke some more. This is too important a theme to close it!I would like to add another issue to Erik's list - that of genetic diversity. This is definitely the "cutting edge" of science, but are we prepared to tackle it, or at least come to terms (even mentally) with a possibility of using genetic tools in biodiversity studies in the Baltic?
Best wishes
