Focal sites & the Baltic
Thank you, Fred, for the comments on Baltic (and other) isolationism and on the potential value of the BIOMARE-project, and the focal sites attributed there. It is my feeling also that once the final products of BIOMARE are out and available for everybody (including the catalogue) these will be of assistance in our developing the themes and research further. The prime thing then is to utilise these sites for comparative puropses (not just for local conservation policies), in terms of scientific analysis. Here is a good example of an entrance to joint research for those interested in biodiversity-research.
