On 8 December 1988 a female Blue Shark Prionace glauca (Linnaeus, 1758) was caught in a drift net near the coast at Bredene. On 2 Januari 1989 a second freshly dead specimen washed ashore at approximately the same place. These are the first records of the species in Belgian waters. |
