The second edition of the VLIZ Young Marine Scientists' Day took place on the 31st of March 2002. On this day, professionals and young marine scientists' met each other in Brugge and showed the multidisciplinary nature of the marine research in Flanders. The audience and a professional jury voted for the best scientific poster. The winners of the VLIZ Thesis Award Marine Sciences and the North Sea Award were given the floor to present.
