Nomenclature Janssen & Krylova (2012, Archiv für Molluskenkunde 141: 91) have established that the name Venus miliaris Philippi, 1844, was published not later than April 1844, and thus has priority over the subjective synonym Kellia abyssicola Forbes, 1844, which was published in June 1844. Synonymy Jeffreys (1870: 441) was the first to state the synonymy of Kellia abyssicola Forbes, 1844, Venus miliaris Philippi, 1844 and Kelliella abyssicola Sars, 1870, but erroneously considered all those as being the juveniles of Isocardia cor Linnaeus, 1758 [details]
