A new species of Capitellidae Amastigos caperatus from the lower Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean off the east coast of the United States is described below. Capitomastus aciculatus Hartman 1959 is redescribed. A key to the Capitellidae of the lower Chesapeake Bay is given.
