Abstract
The colloquium which took place in Brussels on 27 April 2007 was the third law of the sea conference co-organized by the Departments of International Law of the Université Catholique de Louvain and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. On each of these occasions, the institutions joined efforts to bring a number of leading experts from different countries to Brussels to discuss a range of topical aspects related to the so-called "Constitution for the Oceans", i.e. the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
