ORCID
Anna-Maria Vafeiadou is a biologist, with expertise (Erasmus Mundus Msc) in marine biodiversity and conservation. At present she is a Joint-PhD student in Biology at Ghent University in Belgium and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. Her thesis work focuses on meiobenthos responses to climate change effects with a close view on population dynamics and species interactions. In particular, she is working with her beloved nematodes on lab experiments. As a marine biology researcher, she is interested in topics related to Marine Biology and Ecology, Marine Biodiversity, Benthic Ecology, Food Webs, Symbiosis and Species interactions. Nematode culture maintenance, microscopic identification, stable isotope analysis, PCR and Next Generation Sequencing are some of her technical skills in the lab.
