This dataset contains the benthic invertebrate, plant and fish biodiversity data from an intensive survey of the Great Barrier Reef seabed using benthic sleds and prawn trawls over the period 2003-2006, a collaboration between CSIRO Marine Research (CMR) and the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS). The original dataset, provided by OBIS-Australia, contains all distribution records. The dataset in OBIS Seamap is a subset of the original dataset, only containing marine mammal, seabird and/or sea turtle records.
