Abstract
The project deals with the study of nature restoration possibilities along the eastern bank of the IJzer estuary. Among these are conservation and/or restoration of the beach dune contact zone, clearance of buildings and other infrastructure and restoration of the created open space, restoration of the mud flat salt marsh dune contact zone, restoration of the saline and wet character of the inland polder area. the study focuses on the practical civil engineering and nature engineering measurements that need to be taken.
