Abstract
The coastal instability treats economical and safety (agression) as well as ecological (accretion Zwin) interests. The impact and efficiency of different coastal defence systems will be studied comparatively in physical model tests. Moreover, a numerical model for the prediction of morphological evolution will be developed and calibrated. Finally the study must permit a more rational management of the Flemish coast.
