Abstract
This project aims at the development of molecular characterization and authentication tools, using Chilean Artemia as model organism. Improved techniques will result in better insight into the characteristics of the Artemia populations, and in its more efficient use in aquaculture and saltworks management. Secondly, the methodology will be adapted to study the genetic resources of species relevant for Chilean aquaculture.
