Description
Data products were established based on (1) hyper-spatial mobile terrestrial laser scanning (MTLS) surveys of the beach topography at low-tide near Mariakerke-Bad on 7, 13 and 20 November 2017 (2) image-based modelling through UAV photogrammetry of the beach topography at low-tide near Mariakerke-Bad on 8 November 2017. A special service vehicle (SSV) equipped with a closely-coupled laser scanner, GNSS and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) provided a dense point cloud (> 500 pts./m²) of the inter- and supratidal beach topography. Structure-from-Motion Multiview-Stereo processing of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) acquired imagery in combination with ground control measurements surveyed with total station precision resulted in a dense point cloud (> 250 pts./m²) and orthoimage of the inter- and supratidal beach topography.
